Cantonese Beef Patties
Ingredients:
- 2kg beef mince
- 2 brown onion, chopped finely
- 2 tbsp grated ginger
- 2 fresh chilli, de-seeded and chopped finely
- 2 x 227g can water chestnuts, rinsed, drained, and finely chopped
- 2 egg
- 1 cup fresh breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 6 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 tbsp water
- 4 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2/3 cup hoisin sauce, extra
Method:
- Combine beef, onion, ginger, chilli, chestnuts, egg, breadcrumbs, hoisin sauce and two thirds of the garlic in a large bowl, shape mixture into patties
- Combine the water, oyster sauce, extra hoisin and remaining garlic in a small bowl.
- Brush patties with remaining hoisin mixture; cook patties in hot frying pan until cooked through
